As a first time visitor you fill out the requisite medical history paperwork and are then led back to an examining room. Although unlike other spas, this atmosphere was quite comforting as this was my first experience with anything cosmetic. I was introduced to an aesthetician who asked me what products I used, what sorts of skin issues I have dealt with and what medications I take. She listened as I told her my past bouts of adult acne, my concerns about face sensitivity and my all around curiosity about the procedures she performs. She couldn't have been nicer or more informative. She then told me about microdermabrasion, the process I had decided to try. Spa Space is a medically oriented day spa offering a full menu of delectable treatments from manicures to microdermabrasion. Spa Space offers a full array of luxurious services, all of which have received a stamp of approval from Spa Space's Medical Advisory Board. I booked a day of relaxation at Spa Space including a Vitamin C Booster Facial, Pineapple Papaya Pacific Paradise Body Treatment and a Wine and Roses Pedicure. The Vitamin C Booster Facial includes a thorough cleansing followed by a firming mask. The grand finale is an infusion of nutrients including vitamin C serum, vitamin B3 gel, and a balancing hydrator. My esthetician stopped midway through my facial to tell me that I really needed a thorough extraction and to ask if I could spare a little extra time for a proper pore cleansing. Naturally, I obliged her! The extraction was one of the most thorough I've ever had and thanks to a special hi-frequency device any additional bacteria is killed. Parto Naderi: Creation de Beaute River North Spa Girl Review… Upon entering Parto Naderi's salon I was greeted by April, who led me on a grand tour of the space. The salon has two floors, the open main level caters to cut and color with pedicure and manicure stations staged in the back of the salon. There is upbeat XM satellite radio playing in the background, the color scheme is a light green and the main level is departmentalized with the left side of the space catering to color and the right side catering to cut. The stairway in the middle of the room leads down to the spa section, where at the bottom level of the salon is a makeup area, which reminded me of being backstage before a fashion show or play. April then guided me down a curtain-draped hallway to three separate spa rooms in which the décor is minimalist with a splash of Asian influence. One room is for massage, the second is for facial treatments and the third is appropriately named the "wet room" where body wraps, massages, and the like are offered.
