Lincoln Park Massage Spa

The Men's Room

I arrived at Lincoln Park Massage Spa in the heart of the thriving Lincoln Park neighborhood for my treatments, and I was greeted with a "hello" that included my name. I took note of the personal greeting. It is always nice to feel welcomed. While filling out my paperwork I was offered some wonderful tea and made to feel right at home.

While LPMS is clean, professional and marked by an upscale décor, it has an intimate and personal feel to it, and by listening to the conversations of other clients at the spa, it seems to have a very loyal following.

After filling out the necessary forms, I was escorted into the massage room where I was going to be treated. As a side note, check out all of the rooms, they all boast unique themes. It's a neat concept that one doesn't see everyday, and it was nice to see something stand out from the rest. I was treated to my massage, a 90- minute Swedish Massage ($120). The licensed massage therapist had major talent. I can usually gauge a LMT's skill level by how ticklish my feet end up feeling during the massage. Just the right amount of pressure, and I was literally tickled pink by how great it felt and how therapeutic it was.

I would go back again specifically to get an hour- long leg and foot massage, since I am on my feet most of the day and a good leg and foot massage is the best when it is performed well.

After melting away for 90 minutes, I was treated to a service called the Java Jolt ($55). It was totally different than anything I had experienced before and very invigorating. I have tried body scrubs in the past but I have never had one that had the rejuvenating affect that the Java Jolt does. The spa actually uses real coffee. For the coffee lovers out there, the Java Jolt is a must try without any caffeine side effects.

At Lincoln Park Massage Spa, clients experience the owners' pride in the space as well as the talented staff's ability to melt away stress. sending clients out into the world new again.
