ELIZABETH ADAM SALON AND DAY SPA, A GUY'S VIEW

At first look, Elizabeth Adam seems to be a salon, but in actuality, there is more to Elizabeth Adam that meets the eye.

I arrived about 10 minutes early - I always like to scope out a facility and see how they are running time wise. I was greeted by an associate at the front desk who immediately took me to the changing area so that I could "get comfortable." Elizabeth Adam does not have a traditional locker room, but I was actually quite comfortable in the changing area while getting into my spa gear. When I emerged, I was instantly whisked away for my first treatment, a facial. Now, I have had my fair share of facials, but let me tell you, I was impressed. I was scheduled with a very talented facialist, Elizabeth. I believe she started the spa back in 1987 and they have been at their current location for the last 6 years. Elizabeth told me she was introduced to her first facial at the age of 15 and she has been passionate about skin care ever since. She took so much time with my face, and really went to work on getting out any dirt and bacteria. A lot of facials are more of a rub down- they feel nice at the time but really do not get your pores and face clean. This facial was perfect; I got the relaxation I craved along with just enough oomph to get my skin clean. Elizabeth catered the treatment to my complexion, applying a glycolic peel and explaining how the Vitamin C treatment would do wonders for my face. Let me tell you, when she was done, my face felt like a million bucks, after taxes. I truly felt like I was in facial heaven, there is nothing more that I can say than.you have to try it.

After my facial and a minute to pull myself together, I was taken in for my massage. My masseuse has been in the business for 2 years and her hands did not show an ounce of wear and tear. I had an hour massage and my masseuse did an excellent job on my lower back, which always seems to take a beating in the gym. She constantly checked that I was doing well during my massage. Two thumbs up!

After my massage, I was booked for an aromatherapy pedicure. Once again, the staff was very friendly and the pedicurist did a nice job on my toes. She even gave me an in-depth foot massage; I guess that's the advantage to not getting polished.

Overall I was impressed by the staff at Elizabeth Adam, from the associate at the front to the owner herself; everybody was all smiles and super nice.
