Sanctuary Nail Spa 2010 Review

Sanctuary Nail Spa at 1500 N Wells St. is the perfect one-stop-spa for pretty fingers and toes.  When I opened the door to the second floor spa, I was immediately greeted with smiles.  The daisy and grass green colored walls offer a sense of energetic tranquility.

First up, a no-chip manicure, one of the offerings Sanctuary is known for. My nail technician began by shaping my nails at a chic square angle.  She hand buffed and removed excess cuticles, all while using the gentlest of care.  After the maintenance work, it was time for the pretty polish.  Using Bio Sculpture, the nail technician took two colors, rose and cream, to fashion the ideal shade of pink.  The gel polish was applied with perfection and after setting under the UV light, dried within two minutes.  It was amazing how beautiful and strong my nails looked, but that's what makes the No Chip Manicure so unique.  It actually strengthens natural nails, allowing them to grow without any splitting or cracking.  The nail technician finished the No Chip Manicure with a soothing hand and arm massage, which was nothing short of bliss.

Sanctuary Nail Spa 2009 Review

Nestled just steps off Wells Street in the heart of Old Town, Sanctuary Nail Spa is truly a refuge from the stress of daily life. Walking by you may not know it's there, but once inside you realize this is not the everyday nail salon. In search of a "spa-like" atmosphere, Owner Megan Parr has created a cool, calm space with mint green walls and hints of Feng Shui. And after the immediate sigh of relief over the "no cattle call" atmosphere (read: only three pedicures done at a time) Megan sits me down to go over the treatments I'll be experiencing that morning. The real draw here is the personal service. From your favorite scent down to taking care of that nasty hang nail, the treatments are created just for you. I had scheduled the Sanctuary Pedicure and Sanctuary Nail Spa's signature service the Pink and White Full Set Manicure.
