Tucked away in the unique Ravenswood neighborhood, Havana Nights Nails & Spa sits near the corner of Lawrence and Rockwell. This Cuban-inspired spa is easy to find with ample metered street parking right outside its door. Walking into Havana Nights, I was transported to a warm exotic escape, leaving the brisk Chicago weather nipping at my heels. The spa is warm, cozy and inviting, its décor aglow with rich burgundies and shimmering golds. A row of massage chairs surrounded by sheer draperies line the walls and manicure stations are strategically placed so no matter where a client is situated in the spa, she is part of the action and atmosphere. After taking in the sights and sounds of Havana, owner Sandra Plasencia Casanova introduced herself and gave me a quick tour of her spa.
